the mid-1980s and thrived into the 90s. He’ll
discuss its punk rock and heavy metal influences,
featuring bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
Backed by Eric Gutman and a 5-piece rock
band, the event combines storytelling with live
music, highlighting the Jewish community's contributions to this iconic subculture.

Detroit Public Theatre and Detroit Public Television were happy to announce the rebroadcast of From Broadway to Obscurity. Cut to 60 minutes, this rebroadcast is helping launch the show in other markets nationally!
The original broadcast won the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Broadcast Excellence Awards 2020 for Arts and Culture.
